What should I pay attention to when installing Socket Clevis?

Things to note when installing Socket Clevis

1. Check the fittings
Before installation, the relevant fittings must be visually inspected to ensure that there are no cracks, deformations, casting defects, etc. For fittings of important lines or high-voltage lines, it is recommended to perform a tensile test before installation.

2. Ensure the connection
When connecting with insulator strings, suspension clamps and other components, it must be tight to ensure that the ball head and the bowl head are well matched to avoid loosening. Appropriate fasteners such as bolts and spring pins must be used, and their specifications must meet the design requirements.

3. Pay attention to load and stress
It needs to withstand the static load tension of the conductor and additional loads such as wind, snow, and ice. During installation, ensure that its load-bearing capacity meets the design requirements. Avoid applying excessive external force to it during installation to prevent damage due to local stress concentration.

4. Anti-corrosion measures
It is susceptible to corrosion due to being often in harsh weather environments such as outdoors. During installation, check whether the anti-corrosion coating on its surface is intact, such as whether the galvanized layer has defects.

5. Regular inspection and maintenance
After installation, it is necessary to check it to ensure that the installation position is correct and the connection is stable.
During the operation of the line, the Socket Clevis should be inspected regularly, especially for lines that have been in operation for a long time, and the corrosion and cracks of the hardware should be checked.

The above measures can effectively improve the installation quality and operation safety of the Socket Clevis.
