Fasteners, also known as "industrial rice", include screws, rigging, special-shaped parts, construction accessories, etc., which are basic parts of machinery and are widely used in many fields such as industry and construction engineering. As the largest fastener production and distribution base in China, the output of fasteners in Yongnian District reached 4.6 million tons last year, accounting for 55% of the national market share. There are more than 50 categories of products with more than 10,000 specifications and models, and won the title of "China's most influential Fastener Industrial Cluster", "Hebei Provincial Regional Characteristic Industrial Base" and other titles.
Yongnian District, together with Hebei University of Technology and other universities, has established a Fastener Industry Technology Research Institute to promote industrial transformation and upgrading. At present, 18 technologies have been granted national patents, and the proportion of high-end products in the fastener industry has increased from 40% to 70%.
