This power fitting is officially named a heart-shaped ring, also known as a TC clamp ring or clamp ring. The models are TC-07 and TC-10. TC is the series code for the clamp ring, and the suffix number indicates the compatible specifications: TC-07 is suitable for 70kN load-level steel strand/pre-twisted wire, and TC-10 is suitable for 100kN load-level cables. The two models differ in size and inner ring diameter and are not interchangeable.

I. Materials and Manufacturing Process

The product is manufactured using a casting process, exhibiting excellent tensile and impact resistance, capable of withstanding long-term alternating tension in overhead lines. The surface is hot-dip galvanized, and the silver-white zinc coating resists outdoor sunlight, salt spray, and rain corrosion. For special coastal heavy corrosion conditions, a Dacromet coating can be customized to enhance corrosion resistance. An integrated hexagonal bolt is used to clamp the separate ring body, ensuring structural stability after closure.

II. Core Function

Specifically designed to work with pre-stretched tension clamps, the ends of steel strands and optical cables are threaded into the inner ring of the heart-shaped clamp. The smooth, rounded transition structure of the heart disperses stress at the bends in the steel wire rope, preventing wire breakage due to direct bending.

III. Precautions

Specification Matching: The TC number must be strictly selected according to the outer diameter of the steel strand. TC-07 and TC-10 have different inner ring dimensions; an inner diameter that is too large or too small will accelerate cable wear.
Bolt Tightening: Tighten the matching hexagonal bolts during installation. For long-term outdoor operation, it is recommended to add cotter pins to prevent loosening.
Corrosion Protection Inspection: Inspect the galvanized layer upon receipt. For areas with exposed iron due to impact, it is recommended to apply zinc-rich paint on-site.
Stress Requirements: The heart-shaped clamp primarily bears radial tension; lateral bending stress should be avoided as much as possible.
